My dear Pakistanis

 Allow me to welcome you on the website of our Embassy, which is yours as well.  Immediately upon my arrival in Doha in December 2005, I decided to have optimum interaction with our community through all available means.  While I have tried to reach anyone who came to me, the launch of this site provides us an additional channel of quick communication. The purpose in its creation is not to only convey important and useful information related to the embassy/community for our hard working expatriate compatriots in Qatar but also to serve as a Forum to exchange views, suggestions on community-related issues including their problems, consular services, embassy’s events and any other information worth-sharing with our countrymen. 
  
         The site also encompasses materials on our investment policies, baggage rules, cultural heritage and various welfare initiatives and schemes offered by the Government of Pakistan for the overseas Pakistani community. It has a section on Pakistan-Qatar bilateral relations. Of special mention is various types of consular forms, which have been made available for easy access and downloading in order to save time. 

          The launch of the website is a modest beginning, which we intend to improve upon, in the days ahead.  Your valuable suggestions and views would always be welcome, not only for the improvement and enrichment of this site but with a view to promote the overall interests of the community in a better way.  We are proud of your hard work and commendable achievements.  Together, we can do more to promote our common interests which will also add to strengthening of Pakistan-Qatar bilateral relations.  We need your constant cooperation and support in this regard.
